COVID is here to stay. So much is said with follow the science but so little is talked about on the main stream media about the actual things we can do for our health to combat the virus.
One sensible thing we can do to combat COVID, the flu and the common cold season is to increase our Vitamin D. And, it's what American's tend to be the most deficient in.
One of the best source of Vitamin D is sunlight. Going into winter, most of us won't get our Vitamin D this way.
If you drink caffeine, smoke, use asteroids or are under stress, you need higher amounts of Vitamin D.
Best dietary sources of Vitamin D:
- Olive Oils
- Cold water fish
- Canned Tuna
- Crimni Mushrooms
Least favorite dietary recommendation is processed dairy, OJ and other fortified foods.
Best supplement source of Vitamin D:
Hands down, unadulterated Cod Liver Oil is the best Vitamin D supplement. Unadulterated means the cod liver oil is in liquid form and not cooked or processed to loose it's supplement viability.
Sonne's unrefined Cod Liver Oil is a rich source of natural vitamin A, vitamin D, and the essential fatty acids: linoleic, linolenic, arachidonic, eicosapentaenoic (EPA), and docosahexaenoic (DHA) acids. These nutrients are critical for normal metabolism, brain and nerve function, and protecting and building the immune system. EPA and DHA are long-chain, omega-3 fatty acids found in cold-water fish and marine mammals that support a healthy cardiovascular system. Nutritionists recommend supplementing the diet with a small amount of cod liver oil, especially during the winter months, to ensure adequate dietary intake of vitamin A and vitamin D.
THIS IS NOT FISH OIL SUPPLEMENTS IN PILL FORM - that are cooked above the temperature to burn out the supplement value to make the supplement in a capsule and shelf stable. This is the liquid form.
