In simple terms, Geopathology is the study of nature of earthlines, underground water courses, earthfaults and energy vortexes, and their effect on our health and well-being. Geopathic Stress (GS) is a term that includes harmful energies of all kinds, natural grids, earth fault lines and water veins, as well as the detrimental effects on living things that result when the natural frequency of the earth is distorted by natural or certain man-made radiation. The resulting “negative earth energies”, as they are often termed, can result in discomfort and even cancer.

Earth is a giant electromagnet; its core produces natural electric currents and magnetic field. This natural Earth Radiation can be distorted by other weak electromagnetic fields — caused by various underground formations such as water veins, natural grids, radioactive mineral deposit, geological fault lines and cavities — as it rises through the earth.

Geopathic Stress can also result from electromagnetic fields produced by power lines, electrical wiring, lighting, domestic appliances (clocks, computers, microwave sets, radios and TVs), telephones (cellular phones) and power-related equipment (electrical generators, transformers and pylons).

There has been research on the impact of geopathic stress on humans. Here is a synopsis of some of the most interesting research. 

GUSTAV FREIHERR VON POHL

Gustav Freiherr von Pohl (born in 1873), a German baron, has made his year-long researches public with a bang, as he tested a small South German town, Vilsbiburg, between 13 December 1928 and 19 January 1929.

These facts have all been written up and published in his 218 page book (with 71 drawings and illustrations), titled “Erdstrahlen als Krankheitserreger – Forschungen auf Neuland” in 1932 , republished in 1978. The new title also has the wording “Erdstrahlen als Krebsursache und Krankheitserreger”, meaning Earth radiation as cause of cancer and other illnesses- scientifically not rebuked, until now!

His theory that ‘one will not get cancer unless one spends some time in Geopathic Stress places, e.g. lying in one’s bed’. He devised a scale from 1-16 and found that any Geopathic Stress lines above the strength of 9 were cancer inducing. This was proved to the satisfaction of the Central Committee for Cancer Research in Berlin, who subsequently published his findings. In 1930, he read a paper to the Medical Congress in Munich, which inspired many doctors to carry out their own research.

In his book ‘Earth Currents – Causative Factor of Cancer and other Diseases’, von Pohl gives an account of how he drew onto a map of a town called Vilsbiburg (a Bavarian town with a stable population) all the Geopathic Stress Lines he could locate by dowsing. He was not familiar with the town and the operation was stringently supervised by Council officials and the Police, so he could not communicate with anyone and be given pertinent information which might influence his findings. A doctor then produced the details of the 54 people who had died from cancer since records were kept which were then compared to von Pohl’s map.

To the amazement of all present every single person who had died of cancer had slept for some time in a bed located exactly over Geopathic Stress lines. After this, he investigated the town of Grafenau with exactly the same results. Later he returned to Vilsbiburg where another 11 had died of cancer and all had slept in a Geopathic Stress place. Von Pohl estimates 1/40th of 2.5% of the earth’s surface is affected by Geopathic Stress. So what is the chance factor involved in these experiments? Is it purely coincidence that all cases investigated involved people sleeping in a Geopathic Stress affected area? The possibility of chance here is small and the results of these studies were accepted as clear and decisive.

Many doctors attempted to disprove Von Pohl’s findings but none were successful. Dr. Rambeau M.D. President of the Chamber of Medicine in Marburg, failed over three years to find cancer patients whose beds were not located in a Geopathic Stress place. Numerous scientific studies have since validated von Pohl’s theory.

ROBERT ENDROS & PROFESSOR K.E. LOTZ

German physicist Robert Endros and Professor K.E. Lotz in 1990s analyzed 400 deaths due to cancer and revealed that 383 cases were related to living over geological faults, underground water veins and disturbances of the natural geomagnetic field.

DR. HANS NIEPER

The late Dr. Hans Nieper, M.D. is a world-renowned cancer specialist and operates one of the largest Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Practices in the world, located in Germany, he stated that 92% of all his cancer patients and 75% of his MS patients are geopathically stressed.

DR. HAGER

Dr. Hager, President of the Scientific Association of Medical Doctors with the help of a professional dowser Privy Councillor C. Williams checked the houses of 5,438 people in the town of Stettin, who had died of cancer and found in all cases that strong Geopathic Stress lines had crossed their homes. Of special interest was a survey of three homes for elderly people in the town over the previous five years. In the home with strong Geopathic Stress was found 38 had died of cancer. In the home with weak Geopathic Stress, 2 had died of cancer. In the home with no Geopathic Stress at all nobody had died from cancer. In 5 houses built over particularly strong Geopathic Stress places he found an average of 38 cancer cases in 21 years.

GEORGE LAKHOVSKY

George Lakhovsky coined the term ‘Geopathy’, and first suggested in the 1930s that geopathic stress causes the human body to vibrate at much higher frequencies than normal, and can affect the immune system, making people sleeping or working in geopathically stressed locations more susceptible to viruses, bacteria, parasites, and environmental pollution.

DR. OTTO BERGMAN

Under the direction of Dr. Otto Bergman, a professor at the University of Vienna, Doctors, Chemists, Physicists and Biologists at the state sponsored ‘Working Party for Research into Geopathic Stress Sites’ have carried out tests on 985 people over two years between 1988 and 1989 funded by the Housing Research Fund of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs.

The test people were subject to a very thorough medical examination both before and after the test. Tests included blood sedimentation tests, measuring of electric conductance of certain muscle points, blood pressure, heart beat, breathing, skin resistance and blood circulation. In order to eliminate any ‘placebo effects’ the tests were organized in a double-blind fashion, neither examining doctor nor the test people knew whether they had been sitting in a Geopathic Stress zone or a neutral place. 462,421 measurements were taken in 6,943 individual tests.

Research Results:

The three Immunoglobulins that were examined; IgA, IgG, and IgM showed clear reactions on the geopathic zones. Immunoglobulin IgA showing the highest significant drop. These values later normalised when latter blood samples were analysed when the subjects were tested on the ‘neutral zone’.

Blood Sedimentation Speed: Blood corpuscle decline speed slowed down whilst on the ‘Geopathic Stress Zone’.

It revealed that earth radiation affects our bodily functions, including pulse rate, heartbeat frequency and electrical skin resistance. Dr. Bergmann published the results in his 1990 book: Risikofaktor Standort – Rutengängerzone und Mensch (Risk Factor Location–Dowsing Zones and Man). Although the test people were exposed to GS for only a few minutes the harmful effect could be registered in most cases. “One can imagine the dire consequences which exposure to Geopathic Stress over many years could do” wrote ‘Natural Medicine’ which is read by doctors all over the world.

DR. ERNST HARTMANN

Dr. Ernst Hartmann M.D. researched the effects of earth rays on humans for over thirty years, and his experiences led him to produce a six hundred page report [‘Krankheit als Standort-problem,’ Heidelburg: K.F.Haug-Verlag] stating that disease was a problem of location. He found that one of the first things to be adversely affected was the immune system, and as a result of this, individuals placed above an area of geopathic disturbance soon lost the ability to defend themselves against harmful bacteria that previously they were able to withstand. There was also a clear link with cancer in people that slept or worked above a Hartmann crossing point for lengthy periods of time. “CANCER IS A DISEASE OF LOCATION TRIGGERED OFF BY GEOPATHIC STRESS”. We all produce cancerous cells on a regular basis, but they are continuously destroyed by our body’s immune system.” Dr. Hartmann stated that in 30 years of practice, he has not come across a patient with cancer or otherwise seriously ill – with the exception of disease caused by bacteria or virus infections – who has not slept or stayed for long periods in geopathically stressed places.

DR. MANFRED CURRY

During a scientific test Dr. Manfred Curry a medical doctor and biochemist searched several houses where cancer patients had previously lived. Dr. Curry did not know the patients nor the details of their illness. None of the patients were in the houses during the search. Four medical doctors were invited as observers. In other words, all subjective influences on the test had been excluded. In the first house Dr. Curry found by dowsing two Geopathic Stress lines under a bed and he said that if anyone had slept there for any length of time they would have been affected in the region of the pelvis. One of the doctors had to admit with astonishment that the bed had first been occupied by a mother and later by her daughter-in-law. The mother had died 15 years ago and the daughter-in-law 5 years ago. Both died of cancer of the uterus.

In another house Dr. Curry found Geopathic Stress lines crossing the head of the bed. Again, he stated that the person sleeping there must have cancer of the throat. He was informed that he was correct. In the third house a Geopathic Stress line was found at the foot of the bed and Dr. Curry stated that the previous occupant had a cancerous tumor in the leg, the patient’s doctor confirmed this. All those searched gave the same result, when Geopathic Stress lines were found to cross under beds.

DR. VERONIKA CARSTENS

In 1985 Dr. Veronika Carstens, wife of the former German President Karl Carstens, published a study documenting the spontaneous healing of 700 terminal cancer patients after they relocated their beds to an area free from geopathic stress. The body, she argues, has great self-healing potential, which we can tap into by treating the root cause of an illness rather than its symptoms. Her study demonstrates the importance of a sleeping environment free from geopathic and electromagnetic interference and radiation fields. Paracelsus, a famous Swiss healer in the middle ages, anticipated her convictions when he wrote, “A sick bed is a sure way to ruin your health.” While he was not referring to electro smog—a far more recent phenomenon—we believe he already knew about or intuited the negative effects of geopathic stresses and water veins.

KATHE BACHLER

The respected Austrian researcher Kathe Bachler surveyed over 3000 school children, and showed 95% of children with learning difficulties, hyperactive tendencies or continuous bad behavior, either slept or had their school desks (or both) in locations with marked Geopathic Stress. When she moved the children into stress free places, they nearly all showed a marked improvement, often going from bottom to top of their class in one term. She concluded that Geopathic Stress affects a high proportion of children who continuously play truant or who are refused places in ordinary schools due to misbehaviour. Class teachers in schools suffering with Geopathic Stress have a high rate of absenteeism. Exposure to Geopathic Stress during childhood can make a person particularly sensitive to Geopathic Stress for the rest of their life, as well as prone to choose to inhabit places with a similar and familiar level of geopathic stress. She also checked a sample of 500 cancer cases; everyone was found to be sleeping over harmful radiation.

ULRIK HOVMAND

Ulrik Hovmand, has visited and in most cases helped thousands of people who had all been suffering from a serious illness, mainly cancer. Ulrik said ‘I am astonished by the connection between illness and the location of Geopathic Stress lines’. The patients I visited did not have to tell me where in their body they had a pain of where their illness was. I find out where the Geopathic Stress lines are in relation to their beds and I calculated where the patient has cancer. I am correct in most instances, except in cases of skin cancer. I also find that people who are stressed are much more likely to get cancer when sleeping over Geopathic Stress places. The Geopathic Stress lines also have a marked effect on inherited mental illness.

DR. E. JENNY

Dr. E. Jenny of West German conducted experiments over many years with a total of 24,000 mice studying their behavior in Geopathic Stress places. The mice persistently attempted to escape from their boxes, showed weight loss, were more susceptible to spontaneous and induced tumors, had smaller litters and a higher death rate of young than control groups.

MELVIN GALWIN

The American Nobel prize winner, Melvin Galwin who studied along with other things, the effects of carcinogenic tar on the skin of hamsters found that the hamsters did not develop cancer as anticipated until they were kept in Geopathic Stress places.

DR. HUBANK

Dr. Hubank of Vienna speaking at a conference in England paid tribute to a group of Austrian researches composed of medical doctors, physicists and biochemists; in the course of several years’ research using classical medical methods they investigated about 1000 people for the effects of these geopathic interference zones. They found that the altered electrical and magnetic field above a Geopathic Stress zone changed the electrical impulses passing along the nerves of the body. This wrong or confused information resulted in the dysfunction of individual organs and also explained the high number of diseases. They proved a weakening in the immune system, which interacts with the wrongly programmed nervous system in persons who had been exposed. Confirmation of these experiments continue to appear and links have been, formed with the onset of cancer, Alzheimer’s Disease, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Miscarriages, Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and other diseases of the central nervous system.

Women are considered more likely to be at risk from geopathic stress because their hormonal systems are more susceptible. Foresight, the British Pre-Conception Care Organization, now suggests that all couples trying for a baby should get their homes checked for geopathic stress and electromagnetic stress.

DR. RUDOLF KESSLER & ANDREAS KOPSCHINA

Dr. Rudolf Kessler and Andreas Kopschina (a naturopath and geopathologist) conducted a study of 52 patients in 1992, for which they received a research grant from the Association of German Naturopaths.

Andreas Kopschina conducted an additional study of 8,200 patients in collaboration with naturopaths Wolfgang and Ursula Daun– “Die krankmachende Wirkung geopathischer Belastung” (“The pathogenic effect of geopathic stress”), for which the authors received both the 1994 research award from the Foundation of German Naturopaths and the gold medal of merit in 1998. The text of the study is available on the website of the German Professional Association of Geopathologists and Building Biologists.

Both the studies clearly demonstrate that chronic or recurrent diseases have a direct correlation to the presence of geopathic stresses in bedrooms.

WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION

At 1984, World Health Organization estimates that 30% of offices, hotels, institutions and industrial premises have Sick Building Syndromes causing: headaches, tension between staff, lethargy, respiratory infection, dry skin and throat, eye symptoms, loss of concentration, depression, stress and fatigue, leading to a high rate of absenteeism, increased staff turnover, and lowered morale. While electro-, micro-, and radio wave and chemical pollution are undoubtedly major factors, Sick Building Syndromes is generally rooted in the presence of Geopathic Stress.
